Back by popular demand, this summer Pleasant Mountain Music will offer a Junior Songwriting Camp to encourage participants ages 9-12 to immerse themselves in the songwriting process. Participants should have some music background (piano lessons, guitar or ukulele lessons, or voice lessons etc…) prior to participating, but advanced skills (including reading notation) are not a prerequisite! Part of the camp will be to learn about the construction of songs, including the Pop Cheat code! Participants will also be guided through different poetic tips and tricks through the use of simile, metaphor, and rhyming schemes.
