Pleasant Mountain Music is delighted to offer in-home lessons in the Greater Vancouver Region. Having our instructors come to your home is a super convenient way to ensure you or your kids get their music education, while cutting down on your own personal travel time for activities through the week. All in-home lesson students are still invited to the annual recitals (December & June) and will receive updates and event listings through our Newsletter, if you opt-in!
As of Fall 2025, Pleasant Mountain Music offers in-home lessons on the following instruments: Voice, Piano, Guitar, Brass Instruments (including trumpet, and trombone) with the following instructors: Jason (Piano, Voice, Songwriting), Adrianna (Piano), Anxhela (Piano), and Eden (Brass Instruments, and Guitar).
We serve the following areas: Burnaby (Jason), North Vancouver (Adrianna), Vancouver (Anxhela and Adrianna), and Surrey (Eden).
Availability of in-home lessons depends very much on which instructor and day of the week you request, as well as your area of town. Our In-Home Instructors
Adrianna La Chimea
Instruments: Piano, Harmony, History, Theory, Beginner Ukulele
Adrianna La Chimea is a Vancouver-based pianist with 17 years of experience playing classical piano including 5 years of jazz/pop piano. Recently, she received her Bachelor of Applied Music from VCC and completed the Music Diploma program back in 2023. She welcomes beginner, intermediate, and advanced piano students in either Classical or Jazz piano into her classroom.
Adrianna is our travelling teacher, and makes weekly in-home visits on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Eden Nerada
Instruments: Trumpet, Tuba, Trombone, Euphonium, Flugelhorn, Classical Guitar, Voice
Eden is a seasoned performer, avid composer, and experienced teacher. With a decade of musical experience and 5 years of teaching she is an exceptional and adaptive teacher who will meet you where you’re at and help you elevate yourself and excel meeting and pushing past goals set.
Anxhela Janaqi
Instruments: Piano, Harmony, History, Theory
Anxhela Janaqi is a passionate and experienced piano teacher with a strong commitment to fostering a love of music in her students. Anxhela has over seven years of experience teaching children, adolescents, adults, and university students. She has taught in three different countries, performed in several venues, and collaborated with professionals and students. With her supportive learning environment, her students thrive in RCM exams, festivals, and competitions.
Jason Yan
Instruments: Voice, Piano
Jason has taught Classical Voice and Pop Singing for over 8 years. He has his a unique teaching skillset which his students are sure to enjoy. Not only does he enjoy working with beginner to advanced vocalists, some of his students have actually gone on to become professional singers, under his guidance, and have been signed by local recording companies! Jason welcomes beginner, intermediate or advanced vocalists to his classroom. He can teach piano to a grade 8 RCM level, and guitar to an intermediate level.
He speaks and teaches in both Cantonese and English.
