Queer Choir

Vancouver is quite the choir town, and while there’s plenty of wonderful options to choose from, there are only a handful of choirs that specifically have trans, non-binary, and queer folks in mind. Pleasant Mountain Music is thrilled to be a place where one of these fantastic choirs can be hosted and thrive!

Together we’ll work on a variety of music, focusing on works by queer composers including arrangements of Chappell Roan, Tracy Chapman, Janelle Monáe and more! Participants can expect to work on creating a healthier, more reliable voice, learning to sing harmonies, developing a better sense of music theory, as well as being a part of a super supportive community. No singing experience is required. Drop-in for just one class, or hang around for many! Choir members who stay for multiple sessions will enjoy a short performance twice a year: in June and in December!
