Pleasant Mountain Music is pleased to present our 3nd annual Musical Theatre Ensemble! This year, we will be staging: Mean Girls The Musical (High School Edition)!
This performance-oriented ensemble is designed for musical theatre enthusiasts to spread their wings and shine on an actual stage during the end-of-program performance in June! Participants will hone their vocal skills through attention to voice placement, air support, healthy technique, and harmony practice, while also polishing their stage movements with clever blocking and choreography.
Commencing February 1st, our MTE program is calling on folks of all-ages and gender expressions to join our Ensemble Cast. The Ensemble Cast is ideal for beginner performers who do not have a ton of previous musical, dance, and/or acting experience. In fact, this program can be their springboard to develop precisely those skills. In addition, the Ensemble Cast members are not required to partake in any formal auditions. Instead, they will receive fantastic musicianship and vocal training, workshop their stage-presence, and hone their performance skills all in the effort to boost each Ensemble members’ confidence. You get to be in a musical (even if you only have limited experience) and we get to fill additional stage numbers and scenes for the performance. Win win!
All Ages: 10-18 AND adults 19 and up.
Time: Fridays @ 5:30 – 8:00pm (with break)
Start Date: Friday Feb 6th
End Date: Friday June 26th
Performance Week: the week of June 16-21, 2026 (includes tech and dress rehearsals)
Ensemble Size: up to 8 participants
Teacher: Chersea and Paula
Tuition: $120/month. Includes 2 rehearsals, a physical script, vocal coaching, acting/performance coaching, and choreography!

You’ll notice that the time-commitment for this program is less intensive than some programs. Instead of weekly attendance, we require our Ensemble Cast to attend 2 rehearsals per month, from February to June, as well as the final performance from June 16-21, at the Gateway theatre, live in front of an audience. Exact dates for blocking, scene work, musical numbers, and choreography will be provided to Ensemble Cast members well in advance, along with a share drive of resources to use for home practice!

Finally, anyone interested in an Ensemble Cast role who would like a prep session or two before joining in on the fun from February 6th may book a private vocal lesson with one of our musical theatre specialists!
