Pleasant Mountain Music is proud to present our first ever Brass Ensemble group class! Beginning February 1st 2026, participants across the brass instrument family (Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium, Baritone) will enjoy some fantastic musicianship and group music making by joining this welcoming ensemble. You should have some previous playing experience, including a basic understanding of notation reading. But rest assured this class will bring you up to speed on your reading skills, embouchure endurance, tap into your music appreciation, and make the whole process fun.
Class will include:
– Healthy practice habits
– Foundational technique
– Warm-Ups and chorales
– Popular Repertoire (AC/DC Thunderstruck)
– Traditional Repertoire (Trumpet Voluntary/Trumpet Air – Handel/Clarke)
– 20th century music (Fanfare for the Common Man – Copeland)
– Other material from composers such as Danny Elfman, John Williams, and Iconic Jazz Era arrangements from Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and more
Class will be lead by teacher Sarah who will guide participants to get the most out of not just their instrument but also their band class experience!
