About Paula
Born and raised in Delta, BC, Paula has been singing for as long as she can remember — with her parents fondly recalling her humming the Bee Gees’ Stayin’ Alive from her crib after hearing it for the first time at a wedding the night before (a story she suspects may be slightly embellished).
Paula began piano lessons at age six, later studying classical voice under Vyna Restell, a former opera singer and instructor at UC Berkeley’s School of Music. She went on to attend the Canadian College of Performing Arts and Vancouver Film School, further refining her skills as a multi-disciplinary performer.
Specializing in musical theatre, Paula has performed with companies such as Theatre Under The Stars, CTORA, Align Entertainment, and Metro Theatre. In 2025, she joined Pleasant Mountain Music as co-director of the Musical Theatre troupe’s Shrek Jr. production, and is now thrilled to also be teaching private lessons alongside her work in the musical theatre program.
Passionate about storytelling through song, Paula loves guiding students to find their unique voice and says the most rewarding moments are when a student experiences a true breakthrough.
