Fiddling Fun For Adults

New for summer 2026 is PMM’s first fiddling class for adults! Learn fantastic music from Celtic and other fiddling genres in an engaging and growth-oriented class setting.

This class is designed specially for players who already have private lessons experience under their belts. Goals for the will include the opportunity for participants to expand their skills into a new (or previously unexplored) genre of fiddling. Additionally, participants will develop group musicianship skills and ear-training skills.

Violin and viola players are invited to partake, whether you have, or haven’t, had any previous experience with fiddling as a playing style, this class will be a great place to explore the genre under an encouraging direction from teacher Sara.

$30 / class, billed monthly for those who sign up for all 7 weeks.

Drop-in players are also welcome – if you can register ahead of time for the class you plan to drop-in for, it will help ensure enough stands and chairs are set up!

Sara Cruz is a Brazilian violinist and arts administrator with a passion for nurturing creativity and curiosity in her students. She has taught and performed in the United States, Brazil, and now Canada, bringing a wealth of international experience to her teaching. She loves all facets of arts and music education and is dedicated to broadening her students’ horizons, exploring everything from classical repertoire to fiddle, pop, and film soundtracks. With her supportive and engaging approach, Sara helps students develop both confidence and artistry on the violin.
