We know you were
all worried about the fate of the
legendary PMM newsletter, but the
wait is over, and we present the
first (fashionably late) newsletter
of 2026! We’ve been making some big
changes and it took a minute to get
all our ducks in a row. In addition
to the new newsletter format, you’ll
notice we have a new set of logos!
We’ve also redone our website. All
that while still planning a full set
of classes and clinics for the new
year!

Kiwanis
international music festival
registration is open, but only for a few more
days. The deadline is Jan 18th, and they won’t
take late entries. Students are reminded to
register if they haven’t already. Talk to your
teacher if you wish to participate. PMM highly
encourages participation in this festival.

As is tradition, we have a
number of classes that will help keep your New
Year’s Resolution of being a very awesome and
cool person who does fun things!

Last Chance for Metal Choir or Metal Ensemble
|
Our perennial favorites, Metal
Choir and Metal
Ensemble are both starting this week!
It’s not too late to sign up. We’ve got lots to
scream about! Come join us!

We’re beaming about the main
roles being cast for our production of Mean
Girls Jr, which takes the stage in June 2026,
but we still need additional actors and singers
aged 12-18 for our Ensemble cast. Ensemble cast
has a smaller commitment than main cast, so
participants will still enjoy the musicianship
and camaraderie of learning big group songs and
dances, but they won’t have to memorize a bunch
of lines and solos for scene work, which can be
nerve wracking for newbies to Musical Theatre.
And of course you’ll love being in all the June
shows and cast party! Get started on developing
your passsion for musical theatre with PMM’s
production of Mean Girls Jr. Fridays (twice a
month) at 5:30-8:00pm

Our Studio Director Sarah is
starting up a brand new group, the PMM Brass
Ensemble. This is a beginner to intermediate
friendly group dedicated to musicianship and
ensemble playing. The class is only twice a
month meaning you can continue your private
lessons, or keep up with other band requirements
outside of the Brass Ensemble without cluttering
up your schedule. Join Sarah for this inviting,
fun, and memorable class two Sundays a month at
3:30-5:00pm. Starts Feb 1st. All ages, bring
your own brass instrument (trumpet, trombone,
french horn, baritone, euphonium, Tuba)

Beginner Guitar Class For Adults
|
Did Santa finally bring you
the guitar of dreams after all these years?
Better learn how to play it! Join our fantastic
instructor George for an 8-week introduction on
the coolest instrument of the bunch (don’t tell
the flute I said that). Mondays at 7:00-8:30pm
starting January 19. 4 spaces still available.
|
Another new offering from
Studio Director and possessor of small hands
Sarah is the Small Hands Piano Club. Did you
know that almost every instrument comes in more
than one size to match the different sizes
people tend to come in? A notable exception to
this was the piano, until now! Try out our brand
new Athena Narrow Keys digital piano and feel
the difference an instrument that fits your
hands can make. Great for kids and adults alike!

Can you believe we have yet
another brand new class to tell you about? This
time it’s our amazing percussion instructor Arturo
in the spotlight. He’ll be leading a PMM first:
All Ages bucket drumming. It’s a springtime
class, starting in April. Parents bring your
kids, kids bring your parents. Adults bring your
friends, teens bring your friends! The purpose
of bucket drumming is to indulge in the joy of
group musicianship under the encouraging wing of
veteran drum and percussion instructor Arturo.
You’ll learn rhythm patterns and solos among
other things. Bring your own bucket, or buy one
from PMM before the program starts.

In another PMM first, this winter we actually have a class currently accepting wait list because it is full!: Pleasant Mountain Voices Pop
Soul RnB Choir with Richard.

We’re so grateful to have you
all as clients and it’s because of all of you
that we so look forward to what’s ahead for PMM
and for music making more broadly: new classes,
clinics, and ways to make your music experience
even better. So to sprinkle a little joy into
singing PMM’s praises to your friends, we are
launching an ongoing referral program. Any
current student can receive a free private
lesson anytime they refer us a new client who
signs up for at least 4-lessons (within 8
weeks). There’s no limit to the referring
either, so you could net yourself a free month
of lessons if you refer 4 friends. Here’s to
more growth, creativity, and success in 2026!
